And i m likely going to replace the rest too.
Braided fuel line vs rubber.
If there s a braided fuel line.
Standard neoprene fuel hose can be used for fuel pcv and eec systems on all vehicles where working pressures are under 50 psi or vacuum ratings are under 24 in.
I had one location where i was concerned about kinking of the line so i inserted a section of hard line into the rubber line to prevent that.
Found a site that wants 450 550 for hard lines with a corvette filter and compression fittings.
Depending on the rubber line it could withstand.
The best in my opinion though.
I think i spent just 200 for my ls1 braided steel rubber lines with russell fittings and the corvette filter.
They are also easier to replace if you are out on the track.
No idea how long it would take my lines to rot out though.
Unfortunately changes in fuel blending eventually began to take its toll on this.
As it is now i ve replaced about half of these lines with regular naked rubber high quality fuel line.
The advantage to rubber lines are that they are cheap the alcohol compliant goodyear line is 4 6 a foot depending on size and very easy to work with.
Rubber lines are made in the same way as braided lines.
Hg for 7 16 inch and smaller inside diameter sizes 10 in.
Hg for inch diameter hose.
Rubber lines are best used when your high performance vehicle needs a hose to be routed in a difficult place.
It works very well.
